Once upon a time, in a far away place called Soupervillage, there lived two rival families – the Carrots and the Parsnips. One day, while frolicking by the Soupercreek, beautiful young carrot daughter and handsome young parsnip son met and it was love at first site. Knowing their families would never approve, they immediately decided that they would run away together and caramelize! They would start their own village and welcome everyone into their new lives – shallots, maple syrup, brown sugar, freshly squeezed organic orange juice, thyme, garlic – everyone!! No judgments. No rules. They would live together in a harmonious, delicious, smooth and heart warming soup pot. Their lives would be delicate and sweet, subtle and warm. And that is just what they did. This soup is dedicated to them – beautiful young carrot daughter and handsome young parsnip son – who dared to let love conquer all.
Ingredients (in no particular order): carrot, parsnip, zest and juice of naval orange, maple syrup, thyme, dark brown sugar, shallot, garlic, onion, homemade vegetable stock goodness, canola oil, salt
Soup type: Pureed

Fabulous soup!!!! I ordered this soup and the White Bean Stew, sampled BOTH, ate BOTH during my lunch break. I just couldn’t put my spoon down! Soupergirl and Soupermom come through — yet again — in delivering two wonderful soups!! :-)
LOVED THIS SOUP
Amazing, unique flavor! I particularly like your parsnip soups.
I really liked this one- should have ordered the quart :-)
This is a really good soup, full of flavor and you can actually differentiate the parsnip from the carrot. I will say it was a bit grainy (this is the Top Chef fan in me talking), but I still scarfed it down!
Exceptional soup. Really enjoyed it, and only stopped slurping and put some away for another day because I was full. Very satisfying. Delicious flavor.
