This soup is so funky!! It starts in our kitchen completely cooked. By the time it reaches your door it is raw and you have to cook it yourself. Crazy! When cooking it you’ll say to your self, “Oh my goodness this soup is fabulous!! Lentils! Spices! Apricots?? Who would think of such a thing! Oh that Soupergirl – what will she come up with next!” Then you’ll say to yourself, “Wait, why did I pay for this if I am cooking this myself? What kind of business is Soupergirl running?” Finally, you’ll say, “why am I talking to myself? I need to get out more!” But seriously folks, this earthy winter soup is like no other lentil soup you’ve ever tasted! The lentils are warm and hearty and the apricots provide a subltle sweetness that rounds out the soup in such a yummy way. This soup is like a big hug from your Grandma Selma, if she were lentil soup. Just go with it….

This soup is fabulous! I ate it at 1 pm today, and now at 5 pm I am still thinking about how delicious it was.
I have to agree with the previous poster. This soup was amazing. I especially liked the different textures. Those little apricots were the bomb! I wish I could eat more of that soup right now.

This soup was delicious! I don’t like sweet foods, and I thought this soup had a perfect balance of sweetness. The flavoring was just right. I can’t wait to order this one again!
I was really looking forward to this, but it just didn’t do it for me. Maybe it was too many lentils and not enough soup, I don’t know. My boyfriend, the least picky vegetarian I know, didn’t care for it either, but he didn’t like the apricots. Maybe fewer lentils and more soup to let the flavors shine through.
This soup was really interesting – I have never had fruit in a lentil soup before. But it works! And it is really filling so it makes a fabulous meal. Yum :)
YUM!! Yumyumyumyum! so unexpected and so good. I always take one bite as soon as the soups arrive, and I just kept going with this one. I’m eating a bowl right now and all I can think is, “I wish I had ordered more.” This soups has a great balance between the sweet and the savory. I can’t wait for this one to pop up again!
This was my first soupergirl disappointment. I just didn’t enjoy the lentil & apricot flavor combo.
I disagree with lentillover on this one! The apricots gave it the perfect amount of sweetness. Loved it!
