Lady Gaga’s Tunisian Chickpea Dress Soup

Bold in flavor AND in fashion!!

OMG – did anyone catch Lady Gaga’s Tunisian Chickpea dress at the Golden Globes?? Fabulous, in my opinion. The top part of her dress was covered in a layer of dried lentils. The bottom was composed of woven dried chickpeas. She had a palette of spices fashioned onto her head – cumin, cinnamon, turmeric, Spanish smoked paprika, and fennel. Oh it was glorious – and so heart healthy! She had two little girls following her – one pouring homemade vegetable broth down her left arm, and the other showering her in Israeli couscous. I really think they made the outfit come alive. She entered the stage singing her new song “I’m Gonna Marry the Soup” – quite a catchy tune! The Humane Society was ecstatic that she chose an entirely plant based dress. The Purdue company was pretty upset that she decided not to have a live chicken on her head (the original plan). What a night!

Ingredients (in no particular order): chickpeas, lentils, turmeric, cumin, cinnamon, fennel, Spanish smoked paprika, Israeli couscous, cilantro, parsley, tomato, lemon juice, onion, olive oil, salt, pepper, homemade vegetable stock
