Holy fantastic soup, Batman! This soup…this soup… oh where do I begin? It is hot, sweet, sour, and luscious all in one bite. It truly is a soup extravaganza – squash, chick peas, tomatoes, carrots, garlic, celery, onion, and a wacky concoction of spices! Oh la la! Since starting this business, people often ask me to list my favorite soups. I don’t like to answer that because I’m afraid of hurting the other soups’ feelings. Soupermom always taught me that if I don’t have something nice to say, I shouldn’t say anything at all. So listen, can you keep a secret? Between you and me, this is one of my all time favorite soups. It makes me want to throw on my clogs and dance the polka. But first I’d have to learn the polka. Can someone out there teach me the polka?

Chunky Winter Soup Extravaganza
Simon’s Gingery Split Pea World Tour Soup
Simon the Yellow Split Pea was upset. His fellow peas were famous for all kinds of interesting things. Snap Peas were fun to, well, snap. Green peas were famous for being mixed with corn and served as a side dish in every airplane meal ever cooked. Ever. Simon was known only for being split. Well enough was enough, he decided. He rounded up his friends ginger, miso, potato, carrot, and balsamic vinegar, and they embarked on a world tour to spread the truth about his people. Well, his peas. Yellow Split Peas are known for more than being peas that are split! They have 26 grams of fiber per serving!! That amount of fiber is illegal in some areas in the south!! They have almost no fat! And when simmered together with ginger, miso, potatoes, carrots, and balsamic vinegar, well… nothing can stop them. Intense flavors! Luscious, hearty, and healthy! A tiny bit sweet, a little bit gingery, a whole lot of delicious. Did we mention 26 grams of fiber? Oh good. Hey Sugar Snap Peas – I don’t hear you snapping so loudly anymore!
The Curious Case of Lentil Apricot
This soup is so funky!! It starts in our kitchen completely cooked. By the time it reaches your door it is raw and you have to cook it yourself. Crazy! When cooking it you’ll say to your self, “Oh my goodness this soup is fabulous!! Lentils! Spices! Apricots?? Who would think of such a thing! Oh that Soupergirl – what will she come up with next!” Then you’ll say to yourself, “Wait, why did I pay for this if I am cooking this myself? What kind of business is Soupergirl running?” Finally, you’ll say, “why am I talking to myself? I need to get out more!” But seriously folks, this earthy winter soup is like no other lentil soup you’ve ever tasted! The lentils are warm and hearty and the apricots provide a subltle sweetness that rounds out the soup in such a yummy way. This soup is like a big hug from your Grandma Selma, if she were lentil soup. Just go with it….
