Farmer’s Market In A Bowl

Do you ever find yourself at the farmer’s market staring at all the delicious looking produce and wonder how could you possibly eat it all? Well thank goodness you are a loyal soup eater!! Now you can have your produce… and eat it too! This perfect winter soup includes all your local winter favorites – carrots, yams, parsnips, celery… and some lesser knows funky veggies that you could never figure out what to do with such as fennel, celeriac, and turnips. We cook everything slowwwwwwly, bringing out all the amazing natural flavors, top it off with a little dill, and call it a day. Concerned with getting the proper number of servings of veggies in your diet? This will cover you for the week! Not concerned about that at all? You’ll love this soup anyways – it’s awesome.

Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown with split pea!

When Soupermom first proposed this soup I said stop it, Soupermom. You’re crazy. You can’t mix pumpkin and yellow split peas, throw in dill, and then puree it until it’s delicate and smooth. It can’t be done! It can’t I say. But there’s a reason she’s Soupermom and I’m Soupergirl. Let me tell you something, loyal soup eaters. You have never tasted anything like this. This soup combines the warm comfort of split peas with the natural sweetness of local pumpkins. The dill brings a unique layer of flavor that completes the package. This fabulous soup is light yet filling enough to be eaten as a meal. Linus likes to eat it when he’s waiting for the Great Pumpkin. And major props to Soupermom.

Roasted Maple Syrup Buttnernut Squash

Happy Thanksgiving to all! In honor of the holiday, instead of our normal dual soup offering, we are offering squash soup, squash soup, and more squash soup. Some folks I know call this soup amazing. I call it fabulous. You choose. First, we take a squash, then we dress it up like a pilgrim, and we take a picture of it. Then, we take some more squash, roast ‘em, mix in some sweetness and spiciness, and puree it up till it is smooth. A smooth operator.  Order this soup for yourself or for your Thanksgiving meal! Serve it up and claim you made it yourself. We don’t mind! And because we hear some folks might want to order a lot, we are running a little special! Order three or more quarts, and get a dollar off every additional quart! Meaning, order three quarts – get $1 off. Order four quarts, get $2 off, etc…  We’ll credit you back the money after you check out.
